Studio A

Studio A is In Your Ear’s largest recording space, and one of largest sound studios in the Mid-Atlantic area! It’s perfect for bands or small chamber groups, as well as small intimate concerts. Studio A is where Shockoe Records streams their Shockoe Sessions Live! performances every Tuesday night, and many of WNRN’s In-Studio Sessions. There is a Grand piano, as well as multiple drum sets, guitars, and amps that can be used for your next music project. We use the latest versions of AVID ProTools, Cubase/Nuendo, and Wavelab (CD mastering), or you can plug into our Dante system and record your session on your own computer! Whether its recording, mixing, mastering or all three, we got you covered.

Studio A is also set up for film makers too! The raw space is large enough to accommodate a small crew, enough stable power for lights and cameras, and a networked monitoring system so everyone on the crew can see the action. And for post-production, we can help you there too! With one of the first 5.1 mixing setups on the East Coast, IYE can mix your film in surround sound or stereo, as well make sure your film project meets broadcast or streaming standards. We have access to thousands of Sound FX in our collection, as well as foley pits and a Foley Artist on staff. We work to make your film to sound great!
